Six Months of Sparkle: A Gilded Roach Milestone

It’s hard to believe, but Gilded Roach has officially reached the six-month mark, and what a journey it’s been.

When we opened our digital doors half a year ago, we were driven by one simple goal: to breathe new life into old treasures. We knew we wanted to create a space where estate, vintage, and antique jewelry could be honored, shared, and loved again. What we didn’t expect was the overwhelming response.

From the start, you welcomed us with open arms, and kind words. The feedback has been glowing (literally and figuratively), and the uniqueness of our name has created a bit of a buzz. We’ll admit, we debated long and hard about calling our store Gilded Roach, but the weirdness stuck, and now, it feels like home. Unconventional, resilient, and just a little bit shiny, just like the pieces we offer.

We’re also thrilled to share that we’re approaching 1,000 followers on Instagram, with our Facebook page not far behind. Every like, comment, and message means the world to us. It reminds us that we’re not just curating jewelry, we’re building a community of people who care about stories, sentiment, and style.

Over the past six months, we’ve had the honor of placing some truly special pieces in new homes. One of our favorite moments? Learning that one of our most beloved vintage rings was chosen as an engagement ring. There's nothing more meaningful than knowing that something with history is now part of someone’s future.

And while we’ve been busy behind the scenes sourcing new treasures, Patricia has been hard at work on her GIA course, Colored Stones. Her path toward becoming a gemologist is well underway, and every class brings new insight into the world of gems, color, and craftsmanship. Her education continues to shape how we choose and present each piece, ensuring authenticity and care in all that we do.

We’ve been blessed in more ways than we can count with incredible clients, unforgettable finds, and a shared dream that keeps growing.
