Antique Edwardian 14K Gold Orange Sapphire Earrings

A beautiful pair of antique earrings crafted in 14K yellow and white gold and set with warm orange sapphires. The mixed-metal construction gives the pair wonderful contrast, with each sapphire set within a geometric white gold center surrounded by a softly rounded yellow gold frame.

The design is especially interesting for its combination of shapes. Square white gold settings sit within circular yellow gold borders, creating dimension without making the earrings feel heavy or overly ornate. The orange sapphires total approximately 0.22 carats and provide a small but distinctive flash of warm color at the center of each earring.

Originally made with non-pierced screw-back fittings, the earrings have been thoughtfully converted to wire backs for pierced ears. The conversion allows them to be comfortably worn today while preserving the original antique fronts.

At just over 12.5 mm across, they have enough presence to show their unusual construction while remaining wonderfully wearable.
