This antique Art Deco ring features a striking black onyx face set within an intricately detailed 10K yellow gold setting. The geometric onyx plaque has a distinctive shield silhouette framed by fine engraved detailing, giving the ring a wonderful architectural quality characteristic of the Art Deco period.
At the center, a small natural diamond measuring approximately .01 carat is set within a geometric platinum accent, creating a crisp white contrast against the polished black onyx. The combination of black onyx, yellow gold, platinum and diamond gives the ring its classic Deco design without overwhelming the beautifully detailed setting.
The shoulders are especially lovely, with engraved geometric and linear details continuing down each side of the band. Viewed from the profile, the low-set onyx and finely constructed mounting give the ring an elegant presence on the hand while allowing the craftsmanship of the original setting to remain the focus.
