A striking pair of vintage earrings crafted in 14K yellow gold and set with colorful opal inlay. Individual sections of opal are arranged across the front of each earring, creating a mosaic-like pattern with flashes of green, blue, orange, red and violet that change beautifully with movement and light.
The warm yellow gold forms an irregular, almost sculptural framework around the opal, giving the earrings a distinctly 1980s character. At just under 21 mm long, they have wonderful presence without becoming oversized, while the curved design allows the opal's color to be seen from several angles.
What makes these especially appealing is how much the appearance changes as they move. Different sections of the opal seem to come alive depending on the angle, making the earrings much more dynamic in person than a still photograph can really capture.
