A wonderfully detailed vintage charm crafted in solid 14K yellow gold and designed in the form of a miniature cable car. Its dimensional openwork construction gives the little car a surprising amount of character, with an elongated body, open windows, raised roof, and tiny structural details that can be appreciated from every angle.
At 5.96 grams, this is a particularly substantial vintage charm. The generous use of gold gives it a satisfying weight in the hand, while the open construction keeps all of those miniature details visible. Cable cars were a wonderfully fun subject in vintage figural and travel jewelry, and this example captures the recognizable form in miniature. We have not found markings that allow us to confidently associate this particular charm with a specific city, so we prefer to simply identify it as a cable car rather than assign it a location without evidence.
