A petite pair of vintage cameo earrings, each featuring a beautifully detailed female profile hand-carved from shell. Despite their wonderfully diminutive scale, the cameos retain lovely definition through the face, hair, neck, and shoulders, set against the warm natural orange-brown ground of the shell.
Each cameo is held within a simple 14K yellow gold setting with small scalloped prongs around the perimeter. Traditional posts and butterfly backs complete the earrings. At just under 8 mm long, these are unusually petite cameos, giving the historic motif a delicate, very wearable presence.
