Bold in form and unmistakably mid-century, this vintage Strell ring showcases a sharply faceted green stone cut in the distinctive “lighthouse lens” style. The lighthouse lens-cut was developed by Richard Strellman and was founded in 1948. The angled planes of the stone catch light from every direction, creating flashes of chartreuse and gold that shift as the ring moves.

Set in 14K gold, the design is clean and intentional, allowing the geometry of the stone to take center stage. The elevated mounting gives the piece a sense of structure and height, lending it a sculptural quality rarely seen in traditional gemstone rings.

The stone is believed to be synthetic spinel or uranium glass, materials used during the mid-20th century for their vivid color and optical effects. Under UV light, stones of this type may display fluorescence, a feature appreciated by collectors of unusual vintage jewelry.

This is a piece that stands apart—modernist in spirit, architectural in execution, and designed to be noticed.
